The FERRARI MULTIPLA transplanter is a carousel machine suitable for planting vegetables in plugs of different shapes (pyramid, cylinder, cone, …). This machine is suitable for a large variety of vegetables: tomato, cabbage, broccoli, celery, lettuce and onions are the most common. Every MULTIPLA planting unit is equipped with two independent parallel linkages that float on the ground, in order to grant a perfect planting quality even when the ground conditions are very difficult. This transplanter can work both on flat ground and raised beds.
MULTIPLA is equipped with a double-row carousel that splits the plants in two rows and that can be fed by one single operator.

The transplanter carousel is turning in clockmotion (STOP&GO). This specific feature is extremely important to guarantee a constant drop of the plants from the double-row carousel to the ground. The clockmotion allows to increase the performance per hour, the precision of the planting depth and the accuracy in the row distance. MULTIPLA is equipped with a self-cleaning kicker in the ploughshare. This device is extremely important to prevent the accumulation of the dirt in the ground opener. These features are essential to guarantee a more uniform crop that means quality and competitiveness. The MULTIPLA frame can be equipped with a 3 point hitch, a draw-bar assembly or a self-propelled unit. The self-propelled version can guarantee: easy manoeuvrability, reduction of dead times, no need for tractor driver. FERRARI offers different MULTIPLA versions according to the required row spacing (min 21 cm – max 100 cm).
