Biomass is a renewable energy source that includes firewood, branches and wood waste from forests, sawdust, bark and other residues from the timber industry, as well as straw, corn, sunflower stems, residues from pruning vines and olives, cherry pits and apple peel from agriculture, animal waste and livestock residues, municipal and industrial waste.
With today’s energy prices, wood heating, when looking at the entire investment, is a cost-effective alternative. Wood boilers have a high degree of efficiency and are economical to use. Wood boilers are also suitable as a standalone heat producer, as well as in addition to gas or oil boilers. The application of wood boilers significantly reduces the cost of oil and gas and is depreciated after a short time. And finally, an active contribution to sustainable climate protection: wood heating is CO2 neutral. This means that only as much carbon dioxide is released into the environment as one tree has taken during its growth.
